The Raffles Debaters

Debating is all about thinking on your feet and articulating your ideas clearly and confidently. During our sessions, these skills will be honed as you debate alongside fellow club members in pushing for your side. Every session also comes with exciting new motions to debate about, so look forward to being exposed to a wide range of topics. These mental gymnastics conclude with debriefs by our coaches in where we unpack the arguments and fish around for stronger ones. Since each session comprises of such insightful looks into various issues, you will be left with a greater knowledge of different aspects of these topics as well as, of course, a better skill of persuasion. Ultimately, what you will find here is a nurturing and diverse community, made up of people with one common goal: to become better at debating and have fun while doing so.
