Mr Eric Lee is Subject Head of Geography and also Assistant Department Head of the Arts Department.

  • Awarded Distinction for Teaching Excellence in the Post Graduate Diploma of Education.
  • Nominated for the Singapore President Teachers' Award in 2000.
  • Selected as the teacher who have made the most significant contribution to a Merrill Presidential Scholar at Cornell University, US, 2004
  • The Eric Lee Merrill Presidential Scholarship at Cornell University is named in recognition of Mr Lee.
  • Has teaching experiences at Hills Road College, Cambridge, UK.
  • Has undergone training in various content and pedagogy related courses such as 'Cognitive Coaching' by Arthur L Costa, 'Developing People for Higher Performance', 'Teaching the Gifted', 'Leadership in the 21st Century' by Howard Gardner, the National Achiever's Conference.
  • His paper on ‘YOULEAD:The Raffles Leadership Programme’ won Best Presentation at the JC Ednovation Conference in 2003.

Incidentally, Mr Lee loves music, playing the piano and performing jazz.

 

 

Ms Law Seow Li is the Physical Geographer in residence and has more than seven years of teaching excellent A- level physical geography using innovative IT methods to enhance learning such as Coreldraw and Arcview. Her approach to teaching physical geography has always been heavily centred on using various forms of multi-media to bring to life, complex physical geographical processes.

Ms Law has undergone training in various content and pedagogy related courses such as ‘Teaching the Gifted’, ‘Geographic Information Systems [GIS]’, ‘Advanced Hydrology’ and so on.

Ms Law likes to dabble with IT and loves cute cartoons!

 

 

 


 

 

 

Mr Kamal Rizal teaches both Physical and Human Geography. He read Geography at NUS, the University of Queensland and the University of Wollongong, and has a Master of Arts (Geography). Mr Kamal has taught in various primary and secondary schools and junior colleges. He is / was a member of the NUS Geographical Society, Royal Geographical Society of Queensland and the Geography Teachers' Association Singapore.

He is a teacher counsellor at RJC and teacher mentor for the Raffles Geographica.

His  interests include non-fiction, tv documentaries, arthouse movies and world music. He is an avid reader on comparative religion; Malay language, culture and history.






 

 

Ms Poh Huay Woon holds a Masters in International Studies (NUS) and is adept to both teaching physical and human geography.    Her patient and helpful nature has endured her to many of her students.  Ms Poh has undergone training in various content and pedagogy related courses such as such as ‘Teaching the Gifted’, ‘Geographic Information Systems [GIS]’, ‘Advanced Hydrology’ and so on.


Ms Poh’s interests lies in Economic Geography and is a living example of a regional geographer who has travelled  to places such as New Zealand, China, Vietnam, Europe, the Mediterranean and so on.
