The Geography Programme at RJC aims to deliver the best teaching and learning curriculum for our students so that they are equipped with solid foundations in geographic literacy.

a) Curriculum is based on Understanding By Design (UBD). This is in line with the Raffles Programme of nurturing Thinkers, Leaders and Pioneers.

b) Teaching methods are highly IT-centred. For eg, physical geography lectures are packed with multi-media visual aids, edited video clips, real-time coreldraw graphics.  For Human Geography, an extensive collection of solid academic videos serve as springboards for discussions into issues such as global shift, just in time production and the contest for space.

c)  Partnerships with external organisations. We deliberately seek out partnerships with various institutions and firms to enhance the real-life application of geography for our students.

d)  Strong alumni.  We have a  network of geography alumni who have graduated from RJC who come down to give occasional talks on career guidance to our current students and to advise them on scholarships and so forth.

e)   Experienced Lecturers and Tutors.  We have highly experienced and dedicated Lecturers to guide and coach our students to do their very best and to achieve their highest potential.  Please refer to the 'teachers' section for an overview.
