Student Services / Well-Being

At RJC, the well-being of our students is of paramount importance. We have put in place measures to look into the psychological/emotional and physical welfare of our students.

Psychological/Emotional Well-Being
To cater to the emotional well-being of our students, we have drawn up a 3-Level Referral System.

At the first level, teachers, who have close and regular contact with their students, and have their students’ trust, will be the first-line advisors. They will guide, counsel and help their students.

In the case where further counselling is required beyond that given by teachers, students will be referred to teacher-counsellors, who are especially trained to provide counselling, at the second level of the referral system.

For more severe cases, students will be referred to counsellors or external agencies to help them manage the issue at the third level of the referral system.

This systemic model of delivering counselling services in RJC aims at providing support to our students psychologically.

The RJC Counselling Committee also organises seminars for parents to provide them with useful information and tips on how to connect with their young teens.
