Special Programmes / Raffles Programme

The Raffles family of schools, comprising Raffles Girls' School (RGS), Raffles Institution (RI) and Raffles Junior College (RJC), has set in place the six-year Raffles Programme to provide an enriched and differentiated curriculum to cater to the varied needs of the best and the brightest within a vibrant environment of scholarship and service. A broad-based curriculum, pathways for special interests and strengths, flexibility for subject combinations, new and relevant subjects and an emphasis on the non-academic programme are the foundations of this exciting programme.

In this programme, students will undergo an integrated curriculum during their secondary education and then proceed to sit for the new and revised Singapore Cambridge General Certificate in Education 'Advanced' Level examinations (GCE 'A' Level) in RJC without sitting for the O-Level Examinations.

The programme's broad-based curriculum will enable students to develop the requisite skills that the global workplace demands as well as prepare them for their future responsibilities as national leaders, able to demonstrate innovative leadership and make a difference for others.

A learning culture will be cultivated, harnessing the potential and strength of each student in the appreciation of scholarship, service to others as well as leadership. Students, engaged as learners in a vibrant, intellectual and dynamic environment, will be nurtured to be leaders, thinkers and pioneers.
