Special Programmes / Overview

Raffles Junior College has developed a robust curriculum that is differentiated to meet the cognitive and affective needs of the highly-able students that it attracts. Leveraging on our established strengths and commitment to the development of talent in our students, we have designed an enhanced curriculum providing a comprehensive range of special talent development programmes.

The key thrust of these special programmes is the provision of authentic learning opportunities beyond the core ‘A’ level syllabi that will effectively place our students’ educational experiences in the context of real-world issues and careers. Our programmes are designed to be learner-centred and interest-driven. Provisions are made to give students the ability to choose from as wide a range of options as possible. This enables talented students to choose different pathways to success, and in the process, build their own unique strengths and interests.

While each talent development programme has its own specific objectives, the overarching aim of all our programmes is aligned to our core purpose which is to nurture ‘thinkers, leaders and pioneers’, men and women ‘with character and commitment’ who will make a positive difference in society.
