The Student Development Programme aims to develop students to the best of their potential as individuals and nurture them to be good citizens, caring and conscious of their responsibilities to their family, society and the nation. In short, Student Development Programme is motivated by the mission to equip students with the ability to lead enriched and enriching lives.
Comprising three main strands, namely Character and Values Education, Leadership Education and Citizenship Education, the Student Development Programme is delivered through a formal and informal curriculum, using three different modes of engaging students: via the head (cognitive), the heart (affective) and the hand (practice). This approach can be summarised graphically in the figure below:
Students will also learn life skill through an adventure learning approach facilitated by teachers from the Physical Education Department. This will complement the experiential learning that students will gain through curricular activities and community service projects.
