Biology is the scientific study of life. It involves the study of biological structures, processes and interactions, both at the organism, as well as at the molecular levels. Students will experience a rigorous introduction to the properties of biological systems, the breadth and depth of biological diversity, the cutting-edge techniques of biotechnology and the scientific, moral and philosophical issues that underlie the multi-disciplinary study of Biology.

In this programme, students are given the opportunity to learn the analytical and practical skills required of a biologist. Furthermore, emphasis on application of knowledge will equip students to deal with novel situations and problem solving.

Lectures involve an extensive use of animations, demonstrations, illustrations and videos to help students understand concepts better. Tutorials involve rigorous questioning and class discussions.
