A Relevant and Dynamic Programme
The History Unit is keenly aware of its role in developing reasoning and analytical skills, and in helping students to understand past and current affairs with critical depth.
Practical Skills
A wide spectrum of co-curricular activities such as model UN conferences and political forums, as well as strong links with the NUS History Department, ensure that students stay in touch with history as it is applied in the real world. We also offer a full internship programme, each year placing students with a number of partner organizations such as the Institute of South East Asian [ISEAS], Singapore History Museum and the National Archives.
Field Trips to historical locations and for historical relevant purposes are a regular feature. In the past two years, RJC History students have visited Thailand, the US and South Korea. The two former were in conjunction with the United Nations.
Extensive Resources both print and electronic, are available.
